The place Passover holds in the Jewish family is much closer to Christmas than Easter. Passover is as stressful as Christmas for all the same reasons.
There is no similarity between Christmas and the Jewish holiday that falls in December, except that both are festive celebrations with lights.
Christmas is when Jewish children learn they are not Christian. It’s a hard lesson for young children to learn, and for parents to teach. No matter how loudly some Christians complain about a war on Christmas to win a few votes, or raise a few dollars or TV ratings, children are better off if we leave Christ, and all other religion-specific references, out of winter celebrations in public school, where children are a captive audience and have a special fear of ridicule from their teachers and peers.
